The inlet manifold points the the nearside on the Cupra R whereas on the Cupra it points to the offside. The R also had a chargepipe that runs around the L/H side of the engine as you look at it.

The R also has a bigger turbo.

engine codes would be one certain way to go. (top front offside of engine)
AMK and BAM are cupra R engine codes.
All others are cupra.
eg APP AUQ etc

the inlet manifold's inlet pipe is on the offside on a cupra, the nearside for a cupra R
The cupra R has a charge pipe that runs along the top of the engine (between engine and cabin) and down the offside of the engine.

Sounds like it been rung to me.

It cant be on 'another' V5 unless it is a modded 'S' made to look (and run) like a Cupra R or someone has lied tot he DVLA.

Also yes any insurance would be invalid, all a bit shady to me.

well i have spoke to that person and he said the r was his freinds and he lent it out to his freind and he rolled it with no insurance so he bought it off him cheap and started the build on his 1.6 s but he has never changed the engine on v5 for insurace purpose colour has been changed and he as recipts for other car reg num so could check the engine num to car :headhurt:
