Yes you can get them as they came as part of the connivence pack though as to how effective they are though...

Ive never managed to feel any heat out of mine and i think the consensus on here is to extend the pipe and wrap it round the coolant or heating pipes as this will heat the rear washer as well.

Heated Jet Part number 6E0 955 986B or adjustable 1J0 955 875 P / 1J0 955 655 H

Wiring harness 6L0 971 204 for heated jets.

I've considered doing this comfort mod, just haven't got round to it yet.

Sorry, got the part numbers, never got as far as pricing the job up. If anyone beats me too it, please post them up.

Presumably, they come on with the heated rear windscreen and heated mirrors for a set amount of time, as long as the mirror adjuster switch is in the middle. Not too sure, but read this once before, when I was looking into doing this.

i just thought i'd throw the idea out cuz i clicked on the thread, but surely they would only need to heat to above say 5 degrees? to avoid freezing

I thought that they were on for all the time the ignition was on (and alternator charging hopefully), as they only use a few amps. To have them only powered when the heated rear window is on would not work - they would have already frozen up, it would be smart though to only have them switching on below 5C though. I missed this option in my Passat but made sure I selected it for my wife's Polo as I had it on my VX Cav GSI. I would not expect to detect any real heat coming off them though, I might check where the wiring to them comes from - maybe Haynes holds that secret! You can't beat using good winter screen-wash though - and at the correct concentration - these heated nozzles are not meant to be a substitute for that!

thank you for the replies. for now i think i could try the wrapping around a coolant pipe for now, bit cheaper for me to do at the mo. i will make a note of the part numbers just in case
