My clutch has just started slipping on my leon , is it worth fitting a lightened flywheel as well as an uprated clutch (sachs i believe) .
cheers , neil .

I'm changing my clutch before I have her remapped.
Got a new clutch / hydraulics and the fly wheel. If I had the money, I'd get a lightened one.

But I think the standard one should be fine, as it's the same as the LCR (which fromwhat I'm told is good for 260bhp ish).

I don't think so. If anything it would slow it down as the engine has to do more work to turn a higher mass...
+1
Your acceleration will be a little faster and you will lose a bit more momentum in the corners but V Max shouldn't change that much.
The lighter the drive train is the better the car will accelerate, never played Gran Turismo;)

So worth having done then ?? got the money to do it , but don't want to spend the cash if it isn't going to improve the car ( if that makes sense!!) .

Yes, I would. Engine revs noticably free'er... and I have little knocking on mine at idle with AC on, not much. Just don't go really light. Mine is 19lbs.
