I will be punting on my 1.6 Leon in the next week or two but not before I make sure it needs no work, and if it does, I will fix it. I know what I plan to be sell it for price wise and who is buying it, but I would like to know what its worth.

<-----------It is a 2000 X plate 1.6S in Silver with 86000 miles in good condition. I paid £1300 for it in December.

The plan is to replace it with an early Toledo the same shape, probably another 1.6 if I can find one that has not been to the moon and back miles wise as I know they can be had for about a grand.

Nae a good time bud to punt a motor of any sort.
You will be scrabbling for anything over a grand just now.
But if the right person comes up at the right time you 'might' get a grand.

Mate got an 02 plate 1.6 for £550 a couple of months ago.

Thats the approx figure I was going to sell it for.

Have to admit to fancying a MK1 Leon Cupra as there are a few of them on the go for little over a grand too. The only thing is that I need a cheap runabout and the Cupra aint exactly cheap to insure and it aint good on fuel. Add to that the knowledge that a sneaky TIP, Intake, Intercooler, Exhaust and Remap gives 240bhp, and your money disappears quite quickly.....

 I have Bess (MK2 Leon Cupra) and Bessie (R1) for shits and giggles and my old Toledo 1.8T proved to me that a MK1 Leon Cupra aint going be the most frugal of cars :)

The Toledo V5 sounds interesting, but its going to be thristy and not have the punch of the 1.8T

You've seen him drive aswell, lol

Drive it like you stole it, that is my motto ;)

I only have two speeds in any vehicle - Stop and flat oot :D

That is except for the 1.6 as there is no point really, probably why I get well in to the 30's mpg wise.....
