wing mirror removal

Morning all!

Does anyone have an idiots guide to removing a wing mirror? with pics would be a great help and is it a hard job?

also while im here are wing mirrors the same on mk1 leons? ive got a lcr 210

You have to remove the door card, then pull of the triangle plastic, then remmove the connector and the bolt holding the mirror to the car.

if i've understood you correctly, no theyre not all the same, some are 'tear drops' and some are more rectanguar. i think anything this side of '54' plate will be teardrop??
