Increasing BHP

Hello,

I am in the process of buying a MK1 LCR and I was hoping to 'slightly' mod it to gain a few extra horses.... I was looking for some advice on how far to go and what to do and what not to do.

I was thinking along the lines of fitting a piper turbo back exhaust system, intercooler and remapping it. I know its all very good and well gaining extra BHP but if I do this will I need to upgrade the clutch etc. ???

Remap will be the biggest single improvement and it's the easiest one to go for. Everything else will be fine on a standard Stage 1 map.

Loads of info on here about the usual suspects for remaps - have a search for (in no particular order) : Revo / APR / Custom Code / P-Torque and see what comes up.

I know a couple of people with LCR's near me and they've both recommended I go for new piper system. Have you got any other suggestions or recommendations ? Im all ears !

nah nothing really, they just seem a very unsual in design i.e where it splits into two, something i'd not appreciated until the other week and it made me think if they may be slightly restrictive compared to others. I'm only thinking out loud here, this is by no means fact, they may be fine
