Hi everyone, been considering getting a set of 18" alloys for my black cupra tdi, but i don't really want to mess with the suspension. Just wondered if anyone could post up some pics of a Leon with 18"s on standard suspension please.

cheers.

Sorry not a leon cupra, but if you want an idea of how they fill the arches check out my signature link. These are 18's on standard suspension wearing 225x40x18 tyres.

cheers mate, nice car you've got there, js out of interest have you noticed ay difference in the ride quality/ comfort since you put th 18"s on?

i put standard rims on recently whilst my 18s were being refurbed... and if im honest there was a fair ammount of ride quality lost

Cheers. The 18's were fitted on the car when I got it so I cannot really compare. What I would say is the ride is very unforgiving on our crappy pot hole roads and compares to most of the previous hot hatch type cars I have owned. Also going down to the 40 profile on 18"rims means you have very very little protection on kerbing your alloys [:@]

Do you not buy tyres which are Kerb protectors?

Sure you can mate, think the tyres on mine were part of a package and dont have the rim protection. I'd be interested to see if they did help, maybe the style of alloy would help too. As you can see mines has the spokes which stick out as far as the rim so don't think even rim protected tyres would help me.
