Hey all,

Had the wheels on both my Leon and the Octavia done at Laptab in Birmingham over the last couple of weeks. As usual they both had an A1 job!

Went for high gloss sports silver on the Octy and Black Chrome (pearl black and silver) on the Leon.

Heres a couple of pics for you:

Well pleased!

And a group shot after a clean this morning for you!

Colour on the Leon's wheels is gorgeous!! Might try that on mine!

What condition were they in before the refurb? I've had a mobile repair before and I wasn't happy with the results.

To be fair the Leon wheels were in good condition.

There was a scratch on the driver's side front wheel, where a tyre fitter had slipped with a screwdriver removing the stick on weights, but no kerb damage.

My Skoda wheels again had no kerb damage, but they were in a bit of a state after the last refurb I had done at a powder coating company in Birmingham. The laquer cracked quite badly and flaked off in areas...they just looked a mess.

I have never had a problem at Laptab, which is why I went back this time. The Leon was my 6th set of wheels, refurbed by them.

The only other pic I have uploaded is of my Clio:

This is there Charcoal colour (the set of Super T's on there website in this colour where mine to).

Wasnt Bourne was it ?

Yeah it was lol..have you had problems there?

I should have known better really as I had a set of Clio ones done there and they cracked, but they said it was down to me using alloy wheel cleaner. I didn't use any on the Octavia wheels and they did the same...

How much did it cost to get the set of leon wheels done and how long does the process take?

No, but I've had bike frames done there & theres always tons of wheels kicking about being done.

I bet you had to go back again to collect them too, "be ready wednesday" but you end up getting them Friday, if your lucky.

It was a same day turn around, providing the car was there before 7:45AM and it cost me £200. But like I said above, I had no damage...might be different if they have repairs to do to.

Ah you know them to then lol....yup, always ended up going back the next day. Was a pain to as I only had one spare, so had to do the same 4 times!

Are you a Cannock Chase rider? I see a red FR up there most Sunday's that's kept very tidy.

Edit: Assuming you don't mean Motorbike of course!
