Decat Questiions..

My mate without computer access has asked that i ask..

He has a filter, n249, fmic and dv so far so next he is looking at the exhaust system on his Cupra. He doesnt like noisy exhausts so he's thinking of just a decat on the standard system. Now do these have 1 or 2 cats? I know most jap cars have one in the front pipe aswel as inline but didnt know if its the case on these?

Where's the best/cheapest place to look etc?

The cheapest i could find that i bought was a piper front pipe with decat pipe, think it was bout £170 off top of my head. check www.larkspeed.com

the standard downpipe it poo for flow better off getting a new one...

and dont forget you will need to swap out the de-cat for a cat to pass the MOT...

So do most decats come as a all in one? Front pipe and decat yeah?

dont know how much the blueflame is but i know that when i was looking milltek was more expensive than the piper

whats involved with matching the blueflame downpipe to the miltek system?

ok then. was just double checking before i ordered it. Read somewhere that there not a direct fit?

well dont forget you will have to swap it out for your MOT emissions test...

unless of corse you no someone in that field who will pass it for you anyway...

piper fits straight onto milltek no problems, but i did check that both pipes were the same bore

I have a 2.5" supersprint cat back and a 3" downpipe and decat that was custom made!

Heard of a lot of people buying downpipes that rub off the bulkhead or something so i just got one made!

Its really easy to change for the mot. 4 Bolts each side and thats it!

See for changing out the downpipe for MOTs, what can you do to stop the bolts from seizing up and being a yoke to take off each year??
