Peeps,

I have a spare K03 sitting in a box waiting for something to happen. Now, instead of awaiting the worst I'm wondering If I can put this to good use.

I'm guessing that its a pretty poor starting point to hybrid and probably wouldn't be worth it but thought I would ask.

Suggestions/Comments or offers :) x

CR Turbos are able to hybrid-ise these units as they replace the compressor housing altogether

Orrr, take it to Alex at Backdraft and see if he can make another ~250 BHP out of one ;)

Is it true that a k03 spools up so easy that if u just stare at it starts spooling... .....Where you think the phrase k03-hybrid comes from  you would need a map to suit aswell, fmic, and im sure you need a new tip aswell as the housing is bigger,

is there any difference between using a k03 and k03s for hybrid? I thought the housing etc would be identical, just the blades inside. so therefore, a hybrid k03 should be the same as a hybrid k03s right?

Or am I missing another factor?

Nope no difference at all when you hybrid them, i asked CR themselves. You'll also need a 3' MAF housing, turbo back exhaust(sports cat or decat)and manifold aswell as everything else everyone mentioned.

C R picked mine up today off for a bit of by hybridation ;) have all the rest of the bits now but some one said I need a tt fuel pump. True or not? Sorry to hyjack the thread :D

How much do cr charge to hybridge ko3? Just removed my old ko3 due to seals

Think it's 495 plus 10 carrige and plus vat. Or rebuild for 250 and vat and carrage. They rekon 5-6 days will be back with me

You need a BAM LCR fuel pump, i think the TT one will fit but needs modding to make it work, whereas the LCR one is alot easier to do. Good price for the hybrid, cant wait to get mine done once i have all the bits!

200bhp? that would put you back to normal ko3 power level. No point in my opinion. Why not just wait till you have everything in place then bolt it all together and get it mapped?

Thats what im doing, got my injectors and 3'MAF housing, aswell as all the other supporting mods ( fmic, turbo back exhaust etc), getting a manifold from INA (good prices from the states with the weak dollar). Try not to rush getting it done. When you have all the bits you can enjoy it properly. Just my 2p

I suggest you do a search, tons and tons of info on this lately

oh and you are looking at the best part of 3k (turbo, TIP, manifold, fitting, coolant, oil, mapping etc), and thats without an FMIC and TB exhaust

it all adds up very quickly

I am still running the standard one on mine and it is running fine

APR fuel pump is on the list of things to do for the peace of mind factor though
