Fuel Consumption on 1.6 DSG

Same here on the sport 1.6 5 door. I've charted the mpg since i got it in January, 95RON fuel gives 38mpg (slightly less), 99RON (Shell VPower) gives 40mpg consistently along the same routes. But it's around 7p a litre more...... suppose you've gotta weigh up the cost vs mpg really.

Well I not really had chance to drive a DSG Ibiza properly once we have had one in the sell right away. We do have a 2.6 DSG SE 5 door in stock so I might take that for drive. Yea get a few miles on it I got the 1.6 CR tdi at the mo and its got 1400 miles on it in 16 day and the mpg is getting better but Im only getting 48mpg at the mo. Do you have the bigger wheels on your car ?

Yes I have the bigger wheels. i wonder if they make the fuel computer a little innacurate?

just had a customer demo the 1.6. I looked at the Trip once they had gone and it said they was getting 38.9 mpg and our car has only done 49 miles. Its a 1.6 DSG SE 5 door with 15" wheels on it

i have the mk4 with the 1.6L engine and 6 speed tiptronic and i get 50 mpg inside city and 68 mpg on extra urban and all these value having a/c on.

HI I have a 19tdi, city driving no more than 43 to 45 mpg not been on a long run yet, my daughter has a 14 sc se and dose round trip of 60 miles a day and gets 42 mpg. My other daughter hava a vw golf 2.0 tdi dsg said she gets no more than 48mpg on a run 42-44 in town. Dont go by your hand book can be as much as 10mpg out, 37 mph dosen't sound to bad
