Its all a bit odd really, as plenty of people throughout the country run after market exhausts... The police genearlly dont mind, they pass MOT's each time (mostly ha) but they're not allowed, as no way will a performance exhaust sound as standard. Something needs to be set in stone IMO.

Tough call.

I'd like the MOT testers regulatory body to come and spend either Saturday or Sunday night at our place when the chavtastics are hurtling up and down the by-pass from around 11.00 pm until around 3.00 in the morning. Bloody row! The chavs call it "cruising" and are very anti any interference from the local police or council.

I call it street-racing and extremely anti-social - and it deprives me of my much needed beauty sleep! I doubt any one of them are sporting a zorst that would pass an MOT. Methinks maybe a spare back-box is fitted to get them through the test?

Well i took my car for MOT test this morning, and ive got a milltek decat downpipe, and straight through cat back, no boxes or silencers and mine is stupid loud, drowns out most things haha, and mine passed fine, no advisories or nothing. They loved the exhaust sound and the noise it made when they let of the throttle, they said it sounds cool for a diesel [B)]
