Looking to join the fold, how does this car look????

Hi all, Jim here,just sold my fiat coupe 20 vt and looking for a Cupra, i have a budget of 3k or so,however the lower the better!! I have been in touch with the guy who owns this..
its on pistonheads listing/ad number 1245669 and i was just wondering if anyone knows the car,or if anything alarming sicks out in the listing. I think the car looks very nice indeed(my opinion) the guy has had in for over two years,and has been rolling roaded etc after works was done. So there we go,hope someone can help,and hope i havent broke the rules putting that info in a post,I did read them and couldnt see anything that said i couldnt,however if i have then apologies to all. Thanks for taking the time to have a look(if you do) and look forward to any replies/help.

I bet that isn't 190bhp..... a chip wont be good enough for a "cam'd" engine needs a remap, what cam's is he running? Boost valve isn't the best thing to have on these engines, well any engine really lol.

Would def ask in more detail about the cams and if the head as been ported and polished? I remember seeing that and laughed at it but I don't know the details and I know if I posted up my car for sale I would state what cam's, head work and who did it!

personally wouldnt touch it to be honest, just had a look there an totally agree with DDave on this one, had a little chuckle when i saw it, best bet is the for sale section on here mate, then other people can tell you the history of the car etc because no doubt as im starting to notice cars pass hands between users on here alot

After educating myself on what a "boost" valve does on a n/a engine (thank you ebay) i can pretty much guarantee that car will be a waste of money. Has he got a dyno for that 190bhp

no details of the make of cam or a RR print out. No details on a polished head or ware the work was caried out.

Dave how much have you spent on getting yours to 190 bhp ? alot more than 8k i bet and you dont have a 'one off body kit' and a paint job that at the cheapest i would think cost £700.

Steer clear of it mate.

Think with the engine and bodywork alone hits half that without counting suspension, brakes, mounts, cage, etc..... lol

Soon to be more spent on the engine tho hehe

Well i must say thank you guys for all your replies so.......the good news is.......I DID NOT buy the car the bad news.....I was offered a Classic Impreza Turbo instead which was to good a car to turn down!! So big thanks guys....Have fun

Mines up for sale but ive had to put it on hold at the mo as ive gotta replace the top mounts be on offer again by the end of the month
