Miles and miles of Motorway has been built in less than a year, a couple of miles of race circuit to a Civil Engineering company is a doddle. New buildings will be of steel frame construction, and are erected quickly
Money is the issue. during the 2009 season, the lease holders of Donny had huge debts and unpaid rent, ended up in court I believe.
If they couldn't pay the rent last year, surely paying contracters to do all this work is just a dream.
I reckon we'll see next to no racing at Donny this year

I think it will be back at silverstone, I know its a business at the end of the day but how much revenue will they lose by pi55ing off all the uk fans in the long term if there isnt a uk GP.
They'd lose no revenue in reality. What they lose from UK ticket sales, they would gain from the new/replacement venue/country ticket sales. The location is of no consiquence, as 10's of thousands will still attend, wherever the venue.
Mr Ecclestone, for all his faults, and critisisms made about him is a business man, and a very successful one, and whatever deal he strikes, in whatever country, will only be of benefit to F1 as a business. The only losers will be British Fans and Businesses.

why does silverstone get so little out of the sport>? people think they make loads, but they have to pay something like 18million to stage the event, then there is running costs, so they end up doing well to break even.
