Hello Powernut.

I, like Aimez, have been reading and enjoying your thread on the other VW forum (UK-MkIVs) and did not realise you were a member on here with a similar thread. I have looked at your other project, the beetle and am amazed at that as well. Have you put a vr6 engine in a Polo or am I thinking of someone else?

I have questions about your brakes, firstly how on earth did you break the carriers, did the sliders seize up? Are you (or have you) going to upgrade the brake discs, putting bigger and/or grooved discs on the car, as I see you have recently added better callipers?

cheers yep poped a 2.8 complete engine gearbox runing gear and loom in a vr6 polo ,
regards bracks just pop some g60s on ,,,/ps the carriers were fitted to a mk1 caddy 312mm discs and stock 4 motion calipares which was caused between the calipar not been tight and braking and too mutch brake ing force at high speed on a private road ,now runing wilwoods and discs on my cddy with no probs ,,,,

well im runind 288 as the wilwoods just clear due to alloys
so went out testing , all i can say is why didnt i fit these first off , dosent have a problem locking the wheels , and ive also use a t in the rear brakes removed the conpansator valves ,and adjusted the servo up which helps loads
managed to get a couple of updates nothing great thow
first made adaptors and made sure everthing algines up on the calipars

also made so i can remove them to go back to stock use too
then quick rub down andgave door some spray , (was fed up of looking at a blue door

then rubbed it down to add to rough affect lol

next , i wanted more rear wheel camber so added a bit

quick ruber over rear window with buffer

moved wiper so stops in centre maybe a daft idea but works lol

other then this this seem to be runing fine
gave them some proper hard braking , no problems yet

I bet that sounds like a demon when its tearin down the road... proper sick that mate.

Ive recently got a dog, and thinking about getting 1 of them now, youve made me want a caddy pick up!

has too sounds a nice burble with the side pipe and v6 24v straight thew and a loud screem of boost as it passes lol

wasnt over the top , wasnt happy as the dam mic disorted and u didnt hear the dam turbo boost whistle and hitting limiter , ill try a outside video for the next one lol, u may get the full effect
