Facelift bumpers

Hey boys and girls! (Don't worry, this is not another confuzzled guy in search of a step-by-step guide of fitting the bumpers)

...Well happy days for me today I guess, just won a bumper off eBay for my nasty pre-facelift beeeezer! It's ever so slighty different to the other bumpers though, maybe a phase 2 facelift? Rather than the final one. Has a little embossed shape running through the bottom above the black trim part which cups the exhaust and toe ring.

Just need to clarify what it is that's all? It's a phase 2 I'm thinking

hmmm from rear does look like a pre 98 cordoba SX mind you as my memory of ibiza's bumper's tells me they were all smooth (as were last cordoba)

Ibiza didn't had creases or cutouts until mk3 came along iirc

what's thrown me s the black section else but thinking about it more there was a 6 month one right in the middle (end 95 - early 96) that i can't find a pic of so could be that one - cracker if it is

nah mate it's no way a polo saloon / cordy one. The sides don't curve around far / long enough on the one I've bought. I've looked at Jenks' pictures, and he seems to have the same pattern. And there's a few on google too, 1995 - 1996 GTi's.

aye panic over - found a decent pic

on a break so had a chance to sneak at etka and ye - it is the 6 month one as above - rare find that and a cracking looking bumper too

I'm wondering, you know the old metal skirt that's under the small bumper now, will that be hidden by this new one? All of it? I don't get how it hides it around the arches too? Will I need to go to a scrappers for the "facelift" arch liners which come over and screw into the bumper?... Yaha - I've inspected an Ibiza in college, and I'm beginning to get some weird looks.

the rear is pretty much a straight swap job, the front needs a touch of persuading if your leaving the old wings on, the original front section can be taken off out of the way, really as the newer front bumper sits in its place anyway
