The 'hack' to remap the siemens is very new....it came out 3 weeks ago.I wanted a remap since 2008 but all the shops that deal with chiptuning told me that for the siemens it can't be done.......yet.The remap was 170 EURO .but this information is not good for u.I'm in Romania and u are in the UK.So the price is diferent. So maybe stezo went to get a remap in that time when they didn't had a hack to the siemens.Cheers!

Sounds very interesting Vlad, what software are you running on the siemens? custom code? what sort of hp you looking at? 70 exactly? or more/less?

also do you know what was your 0-100km before the remap?

btw nice one getting your car remapped :)

Thanks a lot.Yep it's a custom code.I have the 2006 model so my 1.2 is 70 HP stock...and after the remap almost 80 HP. 0-100 KM/h before the remap and with the 16"rims was13.5 sec.

If there is no diference how come i did 0-100 in 10.5-11 sec??

You didn't. You'd need around 100hp to achieve this. And if you think that circa 5hp will increase your 0-100 time by roughly 2 seconds then you need to have a word with yourself.

Are you getting the car RR'd before and after the remap?

It's not only the remap.....the remap helps just a little bit.The main gain of power are the 14"rims...If you have a car with a small engine, every kilogram counts. And if you think i need 100hp to reach 100 in 11 sec,how about the leon 8v 102hp??it reaches 100 in 11.2 sec and it weights somewere arond 1300 KG.....and my ibiza weights 1100.So not only power counts the most....in this case weight counts.

Correct on the weight but you'll still not achieve this with a remap alone. Wheel size may have a bearing on speed tests but they will not add power. Every KG counts in all cars for performance, no matter the size of an engine. You'd be better stripping the car's weight to improve performance on a 1.2.

If you want to compare cars, then the Saxo VTR with 98hp and weighs under a ton does 0-100 in 9.6 secs approx.

All I'm saying is you'll not achieve any noticable gains (from a remap alone) in performance other than throttle response which will be good for a tenth of a second, if you're lucky. Same goes for induction kits. They probably lose power in most cases.

dont forget 100kph is 62mph which is what i beleive vlad means as hes NOT in the uk.

Fully aware of this. :)

I would not have made any comments if Vlad had been trying to say he could do 0-100mph in 11 secs! Wouldn't have been able to type from laughing!

go for the exhaust air filter and plugs and ht leads first dude then strip it out some good suspension on there then take it for the map it may not just improve bhp and torque it will also take out any flat spots throught the rev range and which will it smoother and more responsive and responsivnes will count for alot

you could try uprated clutch and try a short shift reaction will help :)

Indeed. Pretty obvious tbh!

1.2's struggle to make 100mph anyway, so I was never confused.

Actually 0-62, if we are being precise!

whats with all the 1.2 bashing anyway? they're brilliant for city driving. sure theyre not massively powerful but whats wrong with trying to get a little extra? even if its 7 extra hp, thats around 10% more power. we dont all have money for the cupras, i wish i did :D
