so you recommend the H7R over the H7's then. Cheers for the link, good price too if its a quality kit.

The fact you said you didnt have people flash you when using H7R's sounds like what i want. I dont want to piss off other motorists

I honestly can't fault them, they come with a guarantee too (need to check the site for how long). The only problem I had was one of the spade connectors that slot into the OEM connections snapped, but all that took was five minutes and a crimp.

Also replacement bulbs are only £20 a pair and that includes all the connections needed!

No need for the R's the standard headlight as the anti-glare filter already in it.

the purest white light you can get is 5800k

anything below this is starting to go yellow, anything above this is starting to go blue

i reckon 5000k would therefore be the closest you can get to pure white light without going blue with the 6000k.

i have 6000k fitted to my car and have never had any bother with regards to the police

can you see much further with 4300k rather than 6000k?
my 6000k are superb but when see it coming head on there abit to blue?

Not sure about much further but the light given out if far better at 4300k than at 6k.
Road signs were always to blue with 8k less blue but still a touch of blue at 6k, but 4.3k is spot on.

No yellow in mine

Whats the difference between the 35w and the 50w. Is the 50w just brighter or do i need the 50w so its compatable with the Seat electrical system. Ta.

Thanks Lee, all seems a bit confusing. So a safe bet would be 35w in standard headlights ? Your headlights look well bright Lee !! You say u havnt had any probs with the fuzz or oncoming traffic ?:)

Nothing at all, mine are spot on for the MOT so won't/can't dazzle.
It's only when people don't bother getting them set correctly they blind others.

Great. :)I think i'll purchase the 5000k hids. A good comprimise in colour and brightness. Do u recommend the slimmer balasts as the normal sized ones look quite big as there isnt a great deal of space to begin with from what ive seen !!

H7, the headlamps in the MK1 Leon are an anti-glare unit so your beam will be nice and focussed.

Really? When we go out for a drive, with the 2 LCR's behind me that have HIDs, you can defo tell that the one fitted with the H7r's is less glarey than the one fitted with just H7 hids

Definitely. Check my readers ride I have pictures of my HIDs fitted and nowhere near as much glare as Lee's above
