engine dieing

hi all my 2l 8v seat ibiza dies when i take my foot off the accelarator pedal . this happens when i approah round abouts junctions and so on. but it will restart streigh away any ideas anyone

Give the Throttle body a clean out along with the air filter..

yeah mate, can make the car feel new again

id clean out the idle valve, sits almost on top of the engine with a couple of air pipes from the manifold.

known as ISV a quick search will tell you all you need to know.

ide checka air idle control valve too... do the revs drop and then go up and then drop and the die..?

be worth checking the hoses for any cracks or splits, too.

unless they changed it, thats a 2E so still hugely based on the mk2 golf 8vs.

ah i see. i got an agg engine. back to the original subject, try the throttle body, the hoses on the top of the camcover. mine were clogged solid, once i cleared them the car idled a million times better

i have a feeling mine are clogged or something she doesnt seem to be a happy girl at the mo,

made a huge difference. they we're absolutley full of crap.

Its a common problem mate....

oil and a general build up of carbon...
