in front behind oil filter housing, git of a job to do TBH. im guessing you have the old limit at 5k fault?

Na the car us failing to start, and when it does it cuts out but it will start by a bump start no problem

Yer just checking that's all, I have checked the ignition side and eveything seems fine like the ht leads sparks, dizzy, ignition coil. Dunno where else to lookany ideas ?

i did diagnostics on mine, all that came up was hall sender on dizzy cap.

that came up on my diagnostics too. have since changed the dizzy. i got a brand new one off ebay for 46 quid with 3 year warranty on it if you was looking to get one vince. came with dizzy cap too. :) still redlines at 5k rpm though..... :(

also got 3 air flow sensor failures, one was a short circuit. check all your engine loom for breaks,.

as always :) averaging 25 at the minute. just polished the cam cover cos i was bored and didnt cost nwt to do. aslong as the engine is shiny it will go faster :D

haha. would love to believe that. mines averaging 4.3 mpg at the mo. is running mighty rich. lol. good response when you put your foot down hard, revs nicely straight to the limit but really lumpy when trying to ease it through the range

got to be something up with your timing. or ecu.

Seem to recall reading on Mk3 Golf forums that VAGcom wasn't showing Crank Sensor problems?

I just priced crank sensors a couple of days ago while finding out if anyone had them on the shelf, in case none of the other fixes for my poorly AGG work out...

Euro: not listed
GSF: on the shelf, 18.90+tax
Andrew Page: on the shelf, just under 40+tax
Seat dealer Parts counter, Available to order, iffy ETA, just under 190+tax

Just goes to show the power of shopping about...
