Thought this would be interesting for you owners out there, it was even hotter but it cooled a bit by the time i took the photo.

You must of been caneing it!!!!! driving the car how its meant to be driven i expect you got the brakes very hot too!!!!! its good to see glowing discs!!

best time to have a gander at a glowing turbo/mani is late a night when its dark, managed something very similar on my stock 180 lc,

hope you gave it plenty of time to cool down before shutting it off ;)
 
960*c is when the ECU fuel dumps to cool things down.. so about that hot I reckon! :)
 
Jeeeesus, i know mine gets hot, but never seen it that hot, as when it rains with my bonnet shut it steams like thomas the tank engine haha!

Oh yeah, but this thing cools really quick, the glow goes of it in a matter of seconds

Fookin hell, all that heat right near you tootsies.LOL

Yep, now you can imagine this thing glowing under there and how incredible these engines are.

I guess this is why they call the wall between the cabin and the bay a firewall :lol::lol:

my old IHI was subjected to an overly long dyno run like the evo (repeatedly) and warped its hotside as a consequence.

too hot!
