Alright m8, iv got one fitted in my ibiza, if its a proper armstar one they are brill, its handy having a bit more storage in the front and if you do alot of motorway miles like i do they are good to have.
When you say proper do you mean from seat? If so do you mind me asking how much it was? Im trading my mondeo for this little beast and i just love arm rests my last 2 cars had them and its very strange driving a car without one! and chance of some pics mate?
Nice one cheers thats the one i was looking at about £90 i think but like you say i think its worth every penny as soon as ive picked mine up i will check the old cash flow and get one bough asap thanks again looks MINT!!!
dead easy, im no tommy walsh and i had it fitted in 20mins, it comes with self tapping screws, so just drill a pilot hole slightly smaller than the screw head and screw in the base. It's best to attach the rest to the base unit first. Use the cup holder at the back to space it out according to how long your arms are. As im a chimp i needed it right back so i stuck the can in the holder and put it as far back as i could still having access to the holder.
does it obstruct the handbrake. Yes a little, but cause of my long arms i have room to reach it with fingers and apply it perfectly. Either way, for the benefits that i get from, and how little i use the handbrake, its a small price to pay.
i know what you mean, but this one actually does help, the cars smaller than the A3, so you dont feel like Mr Tickle. Bare in mind im 6ft 4", and not fat (yet.........) and the rest comes to half way down my for arm. The beauty of this particular rest is that the top (the leather bit) can actually slide forward and back so you can adjust to yourself, and its also height adjustable so you can tailor it to your needs, which is pretty damn good in my eyes.
