hi all just have a quick question has any one had a de-dpf done and and haw have you got on with it as i want mine done also what kind of power did you get with tuning thanks:help:

Hey mate, i was one of the earlier guys to get it done:) My readings came out showing 240.6 bhp and 432.0 ft lbs of torque:)
Very good, very aggresive, throttle responds is deadly! MPG in mine isnt to great even when cruising, but after chatting to a few DPF delet guys, it maybe the aggesive nature of my map:( Worth it for the performance

Can i ask where you got the car dyno`d to get 240 bhp and 432 lb torque ?

Yeh no bother mate, i had the car done standard, stage 1 and stage 2 at Henry Roy's private RR in kilmarnock a few of the scottish boys here have used him as well.

hopefully i can give you a linkhttp://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=253701

Off the top of my head my standard radign was 168.1bhp, 261 ft lbs torque, stage1 201.8 bhp, 320 ft lbs of torque, and stage 2 1.7 bar of boost, 240.6 bhp 432 ft lbs of torque:)

How come?

Cracking car btw!! Oh ad on a seperate note i sed to live dowmn in devon a good few years back, lived in Culmstock near Cullompton:)

I know Culmstock very well as i was born and brought up in Ashill. I was asking about the RR as 432lb torque is a very very high reading for a PD car with 240 bhp. To be honest there are not many PD road cars i know that have made 400+ lb torque. I take it you have got a strong uprated clutch fitted as 433lb torque would rip a stock clutch apart very quickly.

I have often thought it a little strange that yours is making 100ft/lb more than others running exactly the same basically generic stage 2 map and with the same mods....

I do agree guys no question i was themost surprised, i will get it on again for another run and see what it brings up:) Henry is generally very accurate, he helped design the first of todays caliber RR's in SouthAfrica. If you look on the internet theres wuite a bit about him, i will go give it another bash, cltuch is okish,n first had car done with 6k on the clock Jerry took it out after doing it and m clutch was slipping.... but as long as i keep it over 2.5k it seems ok..... lol

You might want to try somewhere else to compare graphs. I am not knocking you or your car as everyone can only go by the information given ie the dyno graph but i would be very surprised if your car is making 432lb torque. Any chance in getting a look at your dyno graph?

Yeh no bother mate.

If you want my stage 1 i'll take a photo and put it up as well.

At stage 1 i made 201.8 bhp at 3370 rpm and 320.2 ft lbs of torque at 2201.6

:)

Can I just ask what a de-dpf is???

The removal of the diesel particulate filter in order to increase power and decrease the likelyhood of any, if not, all the faults occuring which are common on the pd170s.

Is it just limited to the PD170's or can we do it on the PD150?

I think that's 432Nm, 394lbft?

+1 thats what i think also as 432lbft is very high and no one else has seen that much.... mine is making 342lb ft

but saying that 394lb ft does not equal 432nm.... think the bracketed numbers are flywheel and others are at wheels.

Still seems too high to me

Lol the brackets are at the wheels, the open readings are at the flywheel, the car was rolled 4 or 5 times on the roller. Im not saying its 100% correct but all my other tuning and standard cars have been pretty spot on on this roller and so have other peeps from Ayrshire Scotland. The first thing i asked " whats the ft/lbs reading? That is the ft/lbs reading!"
Gota say guys you are obviously not so good at mathematics if you think 432 nm makes 394 ft lbs:lol:
