My new ibiza

hi guys, after getting rid of my purple ibiza gti 8v (sadly missed) had a couple of cars after the ibiza then decided i NEEDED another ibiza and bought this and i love it.

things done before i bought it.
powerflow backbox
lowered 40mm on springs
tints

when i got it (about 3 weeks ago) need a couple of things

headlight had a crack all the way across, (found one on ebay)
needed two fog lights (again ebay just waiting for the drivers side to arrive)
new air intake port.
i de-wipered it and put a momo team 280 steering wheel in

just trying to save some money i need a new windscreen and some coilovers.


not forgetting my pride and joy and my on going project.

its a 1.3 8v twin webber carb manual choke, with a 4 speed box
ATS Classics, fronts 7x13 and rears 8x13 with 175-55-13 nice stretch
hottuning coilovers half way down, i reckon about 60mm not to sure

yea some coilies but i can't find the hottuning ones only raceland and they are 168 quid which are cheap but i like hottuning lol unless they're the same lol.

yea jetta is awesome 1600 i payed for it and i will never sell it lol the bloke at the mot garage said its cleaner than his mark 4 golf lol, for a 1983 it passed its mot with no advisories

the jettas plans i hope lol are 1600 engine that my mate has given. me going to put it on bike carbs, and a cam. but i am still unsure because i dont want to ruin the way it was built and the engine has done 116,000 miles which is nothing for the age.

and ibiza's plans are maybe cams and a 4-2-1 manifold and put the powerflow exhust on that was on my old ibiza might be not as loud then lol and just get it looking clean and tidy, it has a few scrapes on it and a lil bit of rust lol, i did only pay 700 for it so i wasn't expecting a minter. i want to go wide and low with it and i am contemplating banded steels 15x8 all round. But i am unsure where i can find the 15inch steelies from.

Yeah the jettas mint mate, I would start building the engine, and when yours does go pop, straight swap

Sounds like a plan, its good having a copper, rust looks like paint works hahaha

Yeah 15" steelies would look awesome, I had some BBS RM's that were 7J and 8.5J, but I had to sell, couldn't afford to finish them

You could always use G60 steelies as a base? If your on edition38, email a guy called "Mk3Monster" he does banding and arch rolling (from bolton ways) just mention my name and that I wanted rolling for my mk2 ibiza (with RM's) proper sound guy, does great prices, and awesome jobs!

cheers dude, no i got it from a guy in grantham. I loved my pre-facelift, i still have the bumpers from it (front and rear) 2 doors, a boot, door cards, mirrors, few bits and boobs.

i`ll keep my eye out for you aswell. i drive a blue vw touareg with 22`s on and tinted windows so im not that discreet lol. and as for you, there aint many jetta`s like yours on the road either.

Yeah pre-facelift is the way forward lol i may be interested in the pre-facelift bits you have for mine, especially the bumpers (im building a vr6 one ) so if you wana get rid of them pm me with some pics and prices.

yea will do mate there just sat in my garage and have been there for about a year lol.

ill try and pop around to my garage tonite and take some photos if not ill have to do it after work tomorrow.

vr6 pre-facelife i have not seen lol so that will be awesome

finally got my fog light, no more lights to replace. Now all i need to do is get a new winscreen, new centre box on exhaust, cambelt and water pump, and coilovers.

just found some 14 inch steels that my mate has got that are like pepper pots but i am unsure they will fit over the brakes, i had 14's on my pre-facelift that were standard seat wheels.

don't fit dan, some 15" steelies don't fit either
the G60's do, as they went over same brakes 280mm's like ours

ahhh ok, what is really annoying is that i have some G60's on a polo that i am selling at the moment and have no other wheels to replace them with
