By the way, if you lot are worrying about dealers spotting remaps, then dont worry too much.
1) They wont check unless something has failed and they are trying to find the cause
2) Most maps can be switched "off" so that a test drive is not going to make a remap obvious
BUT
Dont be under the illusion SEAT and Stealers dont know remaps exist, and flash counter increase or not, all they need to do is read the ECU to see something is on there that should not be. I also recall David from Sere Motors saying ECU's can be plugged in and checked remotely now.
Loads of cars on here are mapped and are out and in to stealers for umpteen warranty repairs with no issues. Be aware that if something expensive like a Turbo, Gearbox or Engine fails, they will look for anything possible to avoid paying out to repair/replace it. Some people with no remap, but an uprated exhaust have seen SEAT give them the :birdy: when it came to paying up.
If you get a remap, you will always run the risk of running with no warranty on engine/gearbox/turbo/ecu if it all goes Pete Tong.
The fact that myself and loads of others have a remap shows that the risk is minimal, and the smiles for miles are well worth the cost to do it though
Just be very careful about what you post on here, especially with photos with your number plate on display, and what you choose to disclose to your dealer/friends as the jungle drums can easily beat back to the person that can tear up your warranty
