N249 Bypass - Who's done it?

I will on my next set of 4 off. Just wanted to see if it cured a certain problem and it seems to have done the trick!

i just took mine off completely car seems alot more responsive and now i can see the engine

mines all gone too, thanks to advice and a helping hand from jonzy! removed everything, bolted the n249 solinoid to the back of the rocker cover and extended the n112 so it could be relocated into the scuttle panel.

engine bay looks alot cleaner!

What you use on the standard black hoses to get them so shiny?

autogylm vinyl and rubber care, spray on and leave for a gloss finish or wipe down for a satin finish. good stuff!

still got the ghetto tuning vac hose then dave I knew you wouldnt change it

works really well actually even when the engine bays seriously hot ive had no issues! it will get changed though, im doing a "philw" lol, see my other post mentioning my new red forge fmic hoses have turned up

I'm tempted to put mine back. Been losing boost and seein my N75 duty being maxed out since i done it. Either something is up or my car doesnt like the bypass.

So once the n249 solanoid/valve is no longer connected to any vac lines where do the vac lines end up going to? Do they just sit there no longer connected to the valve or?

Mines completely off and gives a much better throttle response aswell as making it much much smoother to drive at low revs. Recirc valve sounds much crisper at doesn't operate on its own like it use to prior to this mod.

The vacum line would then come manifold straight to into the DV then, were as before it come from manifold then n249 and into the dv....

thanks mate im guessing thats by using a t piece to avoid the n249? what about the SAI valve where does the vac hose go from there?
