So long as you use a fine grade it will be fine, it's not advisable on manifolds though as they are a lot softer

Big black LCR cleaning day pics

Right, it's been a busy old year so far and I haven't kept the old girl up to the standards I set myself:banned:

So got up today at 9am and set about de-badging the car as the badges were skanky and I didn't fancy working around them with clay etc... I was going to replace most of them but the de-badged look has grown on me:D

After debadging I set about claying and doing the Meguires 3step. I am going to try some different products soon but I'm just using up what I've got in the cleaning cupboard.
I eventually finished at 7.30 tonight with a right arm like Popeye:cartman:

Went out for a quick drive to take some pics before the sun went down.

This is what stance I will hopefully have by the end of the year...

It's the OEM look I'm trying to get away from Andy, I know what you mean though mate, Thanks. I just pulled on the side of the road to take the pics as the sun was going down. It's in Middlewich, just before that long straight country lane oposite the Shell garage

Great job mate car looks ace!

Cheers bud, it all makes it worth it;)

Cheers John, I'm glad my efforts are visable as it was seriously de-moralising at times. It's knowing it's worth it when your done that get's you through isn't it[B)]

Think it will definately stay de-badged now:D

Stumbled across this RR thread after seeing the pic of the rear in one of the others... I have to say that the car looks really stunning mate. I also have a black LCR, and know how tough it is to get it to look good. Dunno, maybe when its your own, you notice more with it! Paintwork looks in great nick mate - and loving the moving shots - need to nab someone to try and take some of mine one day - to remember her in motion :)

Keep up the good work chap

Thanks mate but trust me, my alloys are far from mint:rolleyes:

Didn't even realise you could see the Maccy's:lol: As for the miss's she was trying to ruin every pic to wind me up[:@]

Thanks for the comments aswell Jonathan and Dan. I honestly never intended to keep the badges off but the look grew on me straight away, and everyone who's seen it since has said how much better it looks. Even my mate's that aren't into cars:shrug:

Probably mate, like all weomen she hate's the amount of time I give the car.

Could do with a refurb in the not too distant future, but I'd love some Compomotive MO6's one day. I think I'd rather put the £250 towards them.
