ive got my car booked in for down pipe and decat but i was just wondering what do i do about the sensor that goes into the cat???


any help would be nice

You will have one before and after. The rear one will need to read correctly (which it wont) or its going to throw up an engine management light unless its mapped out. Buit either way if you get pulled over by one of these..

You will have to have it put back to standard before you can drive it again as it wont pass an MOT.

thats what puts me off a decat.
 
yep. just get a 3" downpipe with 200 cell sports cat. mine pops and bangs like a good un and its less hassle than a decat.

Get it quick also. They will soon have to pass the same type approval as OE cats to expect them to either get alot more expensive or become a thing of the past.
 
As said, one before and one after the cat. I've just ordered one for mine. Sorted with the mapper for increasing the limits of the sensors and sorted with mot. Got a resonated catback though so it's abit more conspicuous haha
 
Im right ion thinking the decat helps the turbo spool quicker and gives a deeper noise??
