I took my fr in ti solve this squeaking problem and lack of low down power. said they had reflashed the ecu because they noticed a air intake pressure sensor fault code which dissapeared. And after they took it for a retest and the fault had goneAfter about 7 days of them testing, and hooking it up to various test programs, they sent it all off to seat main dealer and came back with it needing a water pump. How does this have anything to do with the supercharger coupling apart from being in close proximity to it?

The coupling is part of the water pump.

Hi Craigd, Thanks for your reply about the Supercharger!!and after reading your version of what happened I,m even more convinced that my Supercharger is NOT working and to make matters worse I don,t think it has EVER worked as I get have average acceleration up to about 3000rpm then the car suddenly shoots forward at a higher rate of knots!!!. Like you when I took it into the Local Dealer to whom I got the car from, I was told that everything was ok!! but now after reading this thread it would appear that there is a possibility that I may have and had always had a "Duff" coupling!!! I will give another localish Dealer a call and see if they are aware of this fault and hopefully get to the bottom of this malfunction.
Bocawata.

I had my Cupra looked for the squeaking problem and i am gonna pick it up tomorrow. They told me on the phone that everything was ok and it was the turbo that squeaked:rolleyes:

I said that the turbo whistle was a different sound, which was happening at higher revs and asked if the supercharger was working ok.The guy said''Yeah, the charger is squeaking,it's ok!''[:@]

Sometimes there is also a rattling sound when accelerating hard and they said they needed open roads to test it,so if it gets worse they could look into it! When i pick the car tomorrow i am gonna lay on them!

dont listen to them mate, I had to test drive my car with the technicians before they accepted that there was a weird noise, its the water pump that needs replacing and ask them to update the software cz theres a new version out.
