Haha yeh that's why I love it, the stance is just right. That's on springs too!

I've just bought a set of coilovers so I'll be able to tinker with it more now :D

As for the ARB set, I've gone for the Neuspeed Adjustable race bar, 25mm, and I'm well chuffed. KW are a quality outfit, so they should easily be as good.

Having the wheels reurbed matt black on Thursday, wanted something a bit different, but still in keeping with the theme of the car. Really looking forward to it [B)]

I'll look out for your project thread dude, good luck!

You sure its not the RS chasing you

Nice car mate love the camo badge something different and you've got the car going in the right direction.....stage 2+ FTW

Thanks mate, trying to be a bit different with it, hence the matt black wheels and camo theme.

What comprises of stage 2 with the Cupra then? Is it jut the CAI kit, exhaust, S3 intercoolers and map? Or does it include the high pressure fuel pump?

Cheers

Stage 2 is intake and full exhaust, hpfp will be stage 2+. If i was doing it agian i would fit a tbe and go straight to stage 2

Then i would do the fuel pump and intake at the same time as the standard ones are pants and the two parts really compliment each other as more fuel and more air means more power and of course have stage 2+ loaded on aswell.

Some dont fit an intercooler but for anything over stage 1 i would. When i fitted the s3 core you could tell it was so much stronger especially low down. I would fit the THS now for sure if i had the choice ;).

coillies and arbs are very good for handling but i would deffo look into engine mounts they are a very underated mod.

That is very very nice!!!! I was undecided over the new shape but its growing on me

Thanks Rob, doesn't seem to be much for Stage 2+. Thanks for the tip re the intercooler, I was undecided on whether I'll need one, but you may have just swayed me!

As for engine mounts, it's funny you should say that, as we noticed how much the engine was moving whilst fitting the CAI; it's shocking! It moves a good half a foot! :wtf: The engine mounts will definitely be on the cards at some point, just need to find out which ones to buy.

Thanks for the comments guys! I was unsure about the new shape when I first saw a Mk2 Cupra, but I can't get enough of it now! :D

Thanks for the heads up im looking forward to it, what coilovers do you have now? i was thinking of AP's again as i have them on my Mk1 now have been great but loads of choice so not sure.

Weird you should say that Jay, because they're the ones I've bought!! :funk: I had them on my Mk1 LCR, and was really impressed with the way the rode (not to mention the price!), so I've bought them again for my Mk2! Got them from Damian at DPM, great guy with great service. Bought all my non-standard parts from him, and don't intend to shop anywhere else to be honest. Thoroughly recommended!

Thanks mate, I'm counting down the days! :D

Started the rear badge today, really happy with it so far. Just got to add a bit more white in and then laquer. Then I've got to take the boot assembly apart and fit it

Thanks mate, hoping to have the map very soon, just need to get it booked in. :D

Shed's younger Brother is coming along

Wheels on Thursday, FMIC Friday, you coming down to Ade's for the day? Are you having anything done?

You know I haven't got anything to fit/have done :( :(. Oh well, coilies will be here soon :D

Looks very good! i like the badges i wanted to do mine aswell but i carnt be bothered taking the rear one apart

Very nice motor!

Quick tip for anyone else looking to remove the engine cover is to do it while the engine is warm as this makes the rubber bung/grommit's more plyable!

Thanks dude! :D

Yeh, my engine was a still warm when we went to fit the TWINtake, was still a real pain in the arse to get the cover off though lol.

I'd hate to attempt it with the engine cold!

Another tip, try and pull the cover up from the back first, that's what we did, and it was the rear 2 bungs that went first.

Cheers
