Ive got a vibration on the old mk2, when you cruise at 60 its fine but as you push the car up past 80 there is a vibration that grows the faster you go...Its not the wheel as ive had them balanced and straightened and you cant drive threw it so its smooth, so im guesing its the drive shaft as i had the same problem with a mk2 vr6 golf.

Does anyone know what else i can get a drive shaft from to give it a try? Mine is a mk2 ibiza 16v cupra.

Thanks in advance

yep sounds like you need camber, toe, tracking all done, i need mine done, gonna cost a bit though, but worth it :)

easy solution - slow down :D ive got small vibration but i reckon its coming from flywheel as the ring gear is slightly damaged so its unbalanced.

lol its not the camber or toe it wont cause vibration, its either the wheel which i doubt because I checked it a out of shape tyre which ive checked or part of the drive train, does mk2 golf drive shafts fit? and if not what shafts do fit?

Cause toe and camber can cause vibration

Wheels are balanced mostly in the upright position, if you then angle it on car (as camber is out) then it will not by dynamically balanced

But try a drive shaft if you like, look ebay for people breaking ibiza's

For toe to cause virbration it would have to be so far out creating lateral friction that it would be having a skipping effect, but my tyres wear even.

What about the shafts and other aplications
