Hello. I'm a long time forum viewer, but today I made the plunge and registered :). So hello to you all. This seems like a v good forum with loads of info that have helped me with making a decision on a new car.

That said, incase this has not been posted already, a SEAT dealer is St.Albans is offering new Ibiza Cupras for £15k. I thought people might want a heads up on this :)

As i'm a new poster, I cannot provide links, but if you Google 'seat st albans' and click on the 'hot deals' link on their site you will see it there.

Cheers.

Well I was browsing used FR prices, spotted a black one for £12450 59 plate, 2000 miles.

Then I saw that offer. I think i'll need to balance up on running costs/insurance. As I could either spend £12450 on a standard issue FR, or if I did go for a Cupra I'd get greedy and want the racing brakes and Xenons, =£17200.

I got my boc for 17,8 with brakes, xenons and conv pack. It's a good deal!

You could always remap the fr to 220bhp :D

Just contacted them, cupra with racing brakes for £16100, just not sure whether to buy new.

Whats the conv pack?

The convenience pack comprises rear parking sensors, rain-sensing wipers, auto-dimming rear view mirror and coming home headlight function.

It seems that they are pre-registered and you will be registered as the second owner. Still a great price though.

Aski: What offer was that? I'm looking for a cupra currently and this place is a bit far away at 240 miles lol

I get mine of an internet company, (autofinders) brand new Cupra with I think at the time a £1500 discount of the OTR price. so i paid £15,045!!! the stealers in St. Albans offered to take £500 off but were still £1000 off matching it so I had to go elsewhere.

Perrys in Aylesbury - told me all sorts of porkies about cars in stock :(

Our second car was due to be provided by them ( insurance company paying ) I said no no not a chance - came from MK at just as good a price.

Oh dear, just put a deposit down on a car from there. Hope it all goes through ok!!

What did they tell you, was the car not in stock etc?
