Aye she does mate, quick quick car, especially for a diesel, will have the edge over a standard cupra, noticeably quicker than focus st, civic type r. All that changes when they are moddified though!:)

Mines P-torque'd. Still got the DPF on though. Its starting to do my head in now, so i'l be ditching it once the warrenty runs out in the new year. Does yours run right?

Few better pics of the misses wouldn't go a miss either! :)

Haha plenty of them but might be a bit x rated for this family friendly website ;):p

Aye she runs fine mate, i had the dpf sensors blow on me, when i first had it done, die to aggresive settings causing major heat from the exhaust, but touch wood she has been fine, closest blast i have had of late was against a mazda mps (new shape) and there was virtually nothing in it! Genuinly, mpg i found has dropped since stage 1 maybe on a par with standard, going to get a clutch upgrade shortly :) And still have an apparant 17 months of warranty left

So you'll have to get the thing put back if you need a warrenty claim then? I've head the MPG goes up considerably with the DPF removal? My mpg hasn't changed tbh. The performance is a little bit intermittent on mine though. I often get juddery acceleration. Mines running around 210bhp and 345ftlb. It goes pretty well when its runnin right though.

Do you get any intermittent problems with the removal?

A wee bit of stutter if on a long motorway run in 6th at say 80 if you accelarate gently in the same gear it can stutter a bit, but i rarely put the foot down in a high gear, i work through the gears generally, which is probs why the clutch has lasted for the last 6k of driving!

Yep I get that fault as well. Bloody annoying though when the traffic slows and you try and pick up speed again. 80mph Kangaroo hops are a ballache.

Yeh next thing i'm seriously considering guys is this group buy for the uprated clutch kits!
The savings are very good at 30% off. Trying to join VAGOC just now, but have put up my intro post and no moderator has checked it yet :(
But i think i may go down this route, for when bigger power options come out :)
maybe.......

I finally got round to having the car re-rolling roaded today. My previous rolling road had showed a huge torque figure, which i wanted to get checked for accuracy.

My previous Rolling Road had been done at 9 degrees in January, this time round it was 23 degrees. They dyno specialist said as a rule of thumb for every 5 degree drop in temperature you can see a difference of 5bhp generally.

The car was rolled 3x and my average output was 230.6bhp and 324.3 ft lbs of torque which is a lot more like the quoted torque figure, as i was getting worried about the cars reliability. I can finally calm down a bit and stop worrying about the car! :D, the dyno tuner told me, depending on the temperature and pressure the car should see up to to 240ish bhp, but obviously it all depends on the natural factors.

Happy and relieved with result!!:D

Video of smoke on the rolling road still to come :)

Yeh mate, but as yous said about the panel filter, on this run my power curves are tailing off earlier than they did with standard filter, so standard filter is back in :)

Not sure how I missed this thread till now. Maybe something to do with me never being at home much recently haha.

I have some good things and bad things to say here though (sorry)

Have to be honest and say I hate the chrome trim additions to the plastic on the front bumper. Looks cheap and tacky in my opinion as you only ever see it on old mercs people try to tart up. The skirts are different being on back to front and not to my taste, but it looks loads better than it did before especially with the spoiler in place!

All appearance stuff aside, I NEED a run in this as it is awesome to get those numbers from a diesel :)

I know I am biased to red, but the car really would suit the wheels and mirror caps done in black and a Cupra black grille added

And please lose that chrome trim!!!

I am home for a while if you want to call by the way lad.

Haha i will Al! I was thinking along the black route to be honest, will see maybe i'll book in for refurb next week :) Yeh no bother mate, whenever you fancy at a meet, you can have a shot, i put my standard air filter back in because i am losing power at the top end with the KnN panel filter, marginal but makes a wee difference. :) When am i gonna hear about the new motor!:p;)

I really want a ride in this car too, shame im at the other end of the UK!

Al you still making it down south this year?

Would like a ride in a 360bhp Cupra. bet its a beast lol

lol was a beast would be a better word. Now its just back to being an angry pussycat :(

Same lol! Just to add chrome inserts are away!
Lol anytime you fancy poverty if your up this way give us a shout mate, it'll be nothing on your k1, or TT RS cou cough ;)

If theres gonna be another Scotland Seat meet next year I will come up. Have high hopes for that car! However if I cant beat waynes 360bhp k1 after a map, just like how the sportec mapped TTRS couldnt it will be swiftly sold :ban:

Yesssssss, im not spending all that money to only go just as fast as before.

I want more. If its non the quicker I guess I will just have to save some more and do things properly and get a 997 turbo. Or just chop it straight in for a 996 turbo and have money left to upgrade the turbos on that!
