I don't understand... The ebay arms you have purchased are for the same wipers that were on your car. They put the aero arms later on the golf... me thinks you've purchased the wrong ones if you wanted OE aero blades.

Edit: oldman beat me to it

Anyone know if these are still current part codes;

1J2 955 426 A - VW Golf IV aero wiper blades (RHD cars) £10.00
1J2 955 426 A - VW Golf IV aero wiper blades (RHD cars) £10.00
1J2 955 409 D - VW Golf IV aero wiper arms (RHD cars) £30.00
1J2 955 410 D - VW Golf IV aero wiper arms (RHD cars) £30.00

just go to halfords and you can get the aero wipers for the standard wiper arms ask for the "retro Aero Wipers" if they dont have any go to your nearest big tesco thats what i did. im runing standard wiper arms but retro fit aero wipers.

You do realise the difference they make compared to adding retro-fit wipers to the standard arms?

not really, so do explain please , may learn something new?, iv noticed a big difference with them to be honest however when there isnt much rain they do squeek a bit but that can be sorted by spraying the windscreen when that happens.

The aero blades can be bought to fit the regular "hook" arms.

Yeh the retrofit ones look crap. And the ones I have, don't really take the water away very well. They always leave a load that runs off the driver side one, and stays in the middle of the windscreen, if that makes sense.

No, nothing at all.
We used some window sealant and smoothed it.
End of the day it's only a trim that clips into place, the window is sealed anyway.
