Cheers mate. Out of the 4 types of H7 kits on here, which would you recommend? http://www.hids4u.co.uk/h7-xenon-hid-conversion-kits/

I'd definitely go for the H7R model to reduce glare, but don't even know where to start!

I`d recommend the bottom one, the 35w slim ballast kit.. purely because slim ballasts are easier to mount in tricky places.

The mk4 beeza does`nt need the ultimate kit as it does`nt have can-bus wiring.

Just been on hids4u and can`t seem to select H7R bulbs? Maybe they are sold out, might be worth emailing them. I had to when I wanted them a while ago and had to wait a few days for them to take delivery of some.

How did you go about installing..? I really have no idea whatsoever. I guess you had to drill 1/4" holes to fit the wires through, and the rest to me is a mystery

if you buy the slim ones you can actually fit the whole lot inside the light

the 1.8T isn't bad for space! It's mainly the 1.9TDi'ers that need to worry

but they've got stickers on so can't get too hot!

I will have to keep these in mind for the future coz I do like xenons and never had them!

Yeah you'l need to drill a hole for the wires, the bulbs are a straight swap and the wiring just plugs into the existing headlamp plugs... Mine was slightly more complex as I have an extra set of wiring for the high beam.

I'd say they only get *warm* to touch... I did get smoke off the one on the RHS went the ballast burnt out, still wasn't hot enough to burn the glue off the velcro as I used it to mount the replacement!
