Juddering Wiper

Could be one off the 2..................
1st - could be some contaminants on the screen causing the wiper to jump - I.E Wax,Tree Sap etc
2nd - The wipers are past it (worn) & need replacing
Firstly i'd try cleaning the glass with washing up liquid as this will remove all contaminants if it still does it its new wipers
or for a thorough clean use Jeweller's Rouge Powder which is what i use have to buy it off e-bay though as you cant buy it in the shops
P.S by wiping over the wiper blades with washing up liquid every week keeps them in better working order also tip off the week for you

Yup, vinegar is used in lots of window cleaners as a mild acid (same principle as the citric acid based ones). Works well to clean wiper blades.
Mine were doing this to. I tried everything to rectify the noise but without success.
I decided to buy some new genuine wipers and they have been spot on since. Absolutely silent all the time. The genuine ones are expensive but THEY WORK!!

The consensus seems to be that genuine wipers from a dealer offer the best performance. If you want to get after-market ones then wiperblades.co.uk or somewhere like that. There was another similar thread recently where somebody said the dealer prices are very similar though (for original parts as recommended above).
is it the drivers one doing it in the middle of the screen on the way down by any chance????
mine does exactly the same and it drives me round the bend. Going to buy new wipers i think
Mines the same... think there in the region of £30 for genuine blades, I got a price back in feburary
