@lee_fr200 - I wasn't calling you (or any other GSi owner) a chav directly, merely stating that in my opinion the Astra
looks more chavvy than the
Ibiza. Installing a new differential would, of course, cure most of the torque steer and really sharpen the handling of any vehicle. I'm sure your 301bhp Corsa is a cracking toy and a lot of fun on track.
@knackerdecobre + Copey - My
Ibiza torque steers as well but I didn't think as badly as the GSi does. I wasn't trying to say the
Ibiza is a perfect car, just my preference of the 2. Having driven both, I felt that the
Ibiza was more fun to drive more of the time in standard guise.
The GSi's power will make you grin on the straight bits but I personally enjoy quick cornering and nimble handling more and, for me, this is where the
Ibiza snatches 1st place.
And of course I'm going to be biased toward the
Ibiza anyway, a joint love of Seat cars is why we're all here in the 1st place no?
@Chris_2oo5 - With that length of commute, petrol will definitely work out better whichever vehicle you choose.
