Does anybody know if there is a bluetooth system that you can add aftermarket that uses the radio display for contacts etc....

Also would be useful to have audio bluetooth through aswell that displayed tracks names etc from the iphone/ipod...

Parrot kit MKi9200
cost £135 for road radio
Great bit of kit! its about 15quid for the Y splitter. does everything you wnat and more!

I got a jabra cruise Bluetooth headset and it works perfectly. Connects to the headunit by fm and displays contacts on screen but the display function doesn't work with iPhone.

I too have had a MKi9200 installed in my Boca ... Very impressed and the installer that did it also wired it up so all the music comes though the head unit AUX so it uses the head units amp so its louder and i still have use of the stearing wheel volume controls.

Never have another CD clutering up the car again

Buy one !!!!

How much did the cost fitted?

Halfords charge £220 + fitting

But I seen the for £135 on the net but how would fit one if u didn't buy it from them?

Neer be afraid f taking things apart to find out is my own experience...

Normally it's SO much more somple than you think, and the only tricky thing I have ever found with car audio installs has been hiding the wiring and keeping it all tidy and out of sight... Nothing a few tiny cable ties can't solve :)

I paid £250 fitted by a company called source audio i'n Sheffield ... They are very good and have won awards for there installs

Would you let a untrained monkey aka halfords installer mess about i'n your pride and joy

I think not

Chris

If they brake it they are liable. But I get what your saying just not prepared to pay twice the price, if it was a older car I would do it my self wouldn't take long

True on an older car it's worth doing it yourself but on a brand new car I prefer to let experts who know what they are doing do the work rather than save the odd few quid

Each to there own mate but I don't trust McHalfords

Source are the only people I'd trust I carnt think of anywhere else that as good as them plus it's only 5 minutes walk away from me :D

hmmmm the mki9200 is a brilliant piece of kit, also ther is the bury bluetooth kit with touch screen and also reads out you texts for you.

as for the people who comment on halfords i work for halfords and instail handsfree kits and also radios i am fully trained and have never broken scratched any car.

Hi Chris,

Could you post some photos of the bluetooth kit in your boca,

I'm thinking of getting one put in the FR Ive just ordered ( I didn't have the option of facory bluetooth which I had in my soon to be ex boc :( )

I can get this kit fitted at halfords for £150 (I have some vouchers) But if they come accross as not knowing what theyre doing I might go with that place in sheffield.

To be fair mate. Not all Halfords are the same. My local Halfords (Fox's lane, Wolves) has an very good installer. He installed my MKi9100 with free fitting and he did an "Proper job!" ;)

That said, It doesn't utilize the OEM headunit. I thought such function was only available when you purchased an additional unit from Parrot :

It's the additional UNIKA kit.

Cheers
