trouble with tracking??

hi all, so basically my LCR is dropped 70mm on coilies and i need the tracking doing nowhere near me wants to touch it as they cant get the equipment over the wheels because of the arches....im going to southport friday (from the midlands, telford) and was wondering where i could stop along the way that could do the tracking for me Anyone got any ideas?? thanks in advance

I had this with my last car - where I was clever and slammed it so low the top of the wheels were inside the arhes. I went to Bahmer tyres which is part of the local asda, just a little cheapo tyre place but very efficient - and they had some laser alignment things that litterly hung off the wheel on each side rather than the top and sides if that makes sense?
Its out there - ring around I guess........................

Ive been on align my car but no one on there specifys that they can offer this service and its a nightmare ringing round everywhere.....i thought about wimding it up abit but I shouldnt have to, surley other people have encountered this and found somewhere that can still do it, like youve just mensioned andy, with any luck somebody will pop up that lives along my route and knows a place, im keeping my fingers crossed!!!

I could do mate yeah, tbf this is my last resort, simply just as its abit of hastle id rather not have to mess with and secondly because although having the tracking done will never be perfect with my car dropped this much if I alter it after its been tracked it defeats the object alittle bit as it should be tracked to the ride hight im going to be driving it at if you know what I mean....

as lee said, raising then dropping defeats the object, go to someone with proper laser/geo equipment and you'll be fine, ABP did mine and it was spot on.

Just rang them mate and they said theyd b able to do it no probs but it will be 80 quid.....does that sound rifht....seems abit steep to me!?

Yeah because tracking is one thing , geo allignment is another and is more expensive. Afterwards though it will drive spot on. A general track after adding coilovers probably wouldnt set up the camber etc correctly. Awesome maybe slightly cheaper, give them a go mate

well i did think that, so is this the going rate for what they will do, and much better than just tracking, awsome is abit out of my way otherwise id try them, he said theyd have it for an hour and a half 2 hours!? will it help tyre wear much??

drives like a new car, i made the mistake of having a normal track after lowering and it actually made it worse, went for the geo and it drove like it left the factory. i was there an hour but they used to have an xbox iirc
