The LCR doesn't have one as standard. Fit it anywhere in the engine where there is space. Mine's attached to the battery cover. I've not emptied mine yet and it's been on for over 4 months now. Although when my LCR is used it's not on short trips so I don't get much sludge.
 
Without looking like a goon what is a Pcv valve? And before my ipad decides that I'm talking about double glazing I know it has nothing to do with that!

sam i think thats wrong, what did you do with the 90 degree pipe that comes out the block? it needs to plumb into your catch can, doesnt look like it on the pic :(
 
i pretty sure they do i had it done at dailynks mate so i bloody hope it's right :(
 
Can't say i've ever seen anyone have a take off from the catch tank to the inlet manifold like that, isn't that where a brake booster pipe should be?

its not to the manni thats just a convient shot ;) lol it goes straight under the mani to the PCV pipes under there ;)
 
It is wrong Sam. You should have the outlet from the block and cam cover t'd together and going into one port of the catch can. The other port on the catch can should go to either the TIP or to the road (and bung the TIP).

The second tube is going in the vacuum line on the inlet, is on the inlet track just not the tip.
So non goes through the turbo/intercooler.
Don't forget the brake booster pipe as a one way valve so will be sucking the oil fumes to the servo.
 
Il need a guide on how to fit 1 wen i get it. Seems complicated if specialists are gettin it wrong lol. For the people who has got a catch can fitted, do u notice any difference from not havin 1?
