My car i got on thurs and have done 35 miles in and now its grounded, least its in my drive.

Picked up my new Cupra on Tuesday but I live at the bottom of a hill and the roads a sheet of ice at the moment so I don't fancy risking playing with it just yet:(

My Cupra with Bridgestone RE050As is much worse in the snow, than my old Celica with Toyo T1-Rs.The Toyota could easily plough trough medium snow, keeping a straight line, while the Cupra is handfull in the stuff, skidding under more than crawling speed and under braking(brake pedal juddering violently). Not good even on sleet! The Toyota was dangerous only on ice, which is really bad for the Cupra as well,of course.

But i haven't got stuck yet,as when lifting the throttle in D,the Cupra easily pulls itself out of deep snow patches.

Well I've had the chance to try it out in the icy roads and light snow we have in the Midlands and I'm quite impressed. It is way better than the Grande Punto Sporting I had before which I lost all confidence in. The DSG box means not having to faff with the clutch and brakes and I can feel the wheels being braked gently as they begin to spin.

On another note I am getting frustrated with the wash/wipe 'smear'' wipe. I clear the windscreen and then 5 seconds later it does another wipe on the dry screen and smears it again :( Who came up with that idea?

Well my Boc just went straight on into a large metal pole 5 car parking spaces away from mine..... FML

Well had a round trip to make about an hour in total but the roads weren't too bad, bit sketchy in places but only a bit of wheel spin. Get back into my car park turned the corner towards mine and it just gave way side ways and turned straight into the bloody post. Infuriated doesn't even do how I feel justice... Seeing as i've got the car being serviced, remapped and fitted with the bov spacer within the next week this is the last thing I needed!!!

Not sure how bad the damage is at the moment, massive scratches that I could see at the time but too dark to see if it's cracked etc. If anything it's a good job the car didn't go to the right of the post as then it would have hit another car...

Yeah will do! Might pop out with a torch in a bit to try and get a better idea as I'll be tossing and turning in bed without knowing lol
