If i get a chance i will fit today weather permiting

Big thanks to Carol and all @ Jabbasport

Just out of interest, why does it matter how hot the air is thats being drawn in? When it has to go through a red hot turbo attatched to a manifold thats glowing anyway? And then through the intercooler to cool it down again.

I understand the principles of heat soak on an N/A car, but it just seems pointless on a car with forced induction.

OK guys managed to get everything fitted which was pretty strightforward
however had to modify the standard cold air feed to fit the FR08001

got there in the end though
the heatshield does a very good job of holding everything in place
and there is no need for any additional clamps or brackets...
the heatshield is expensive but its a quality bit of kit anyone who owns one will agree

Great work tekin :D

The filter sounds immense doesn't it, love mine. And the heatshield be it expensive or not is a great piece of kit. Keeping the MAF secure is very important so these don't fail and have to be replaced when it could have been avoided...

If people leave it unsecure and bouncing around, I wouldn't give the MAF long to live!

Yeah the noise sure is nuts, mine scares the life out of people by bus stops etc if you've got the car under full chat

It's not an overly loud system, but has a nice sporty tone, I like it personally. :)

Your the lucky one then.. ;)

Vibration murders MAF's if it's too harsh. Guess yours is pretty firm, maybe because it's bigger lol.
