I've had a look at some posts about remaping.I kno tht u jst can't remap without changing other things.so wht woul be a respectable remap be from a Leon mk1 110 tdi be? And wht would I have to change to get it n wht kind if price am I looking at.appreciate if anyone could help thx.

Anywhere between £200-£500

You dont need to change anything:

Drive it like a **** and you'll need a new clutch, drive normally and you'll be ok.

I'd agree with this, mine drove spot on without changing anything else. It's not really an issue unless you're driving like you stole it all the time!!!

If you live anywhere near, AwsomeGTI near Manchester were doing non-pd tdi 110 for £199 for a generic map.

Unsure if this is still running though, you'd have to check, as it was before Christmas when I enquired about it. But £200 I think is pretty good for a map from a well respected company.

Sounds good.I'll have to sort the issue with the turbo first.is their any way I would be able to fit a 130 turbo or do I need to compensate n change other stf tht way.or jst clean up my turbo and go
For a remap?

There have been a few that have put bigger turbos in and injectors and other stuff etc. (can't find the people/threads now) but from what I remember they seemed to be very time consuming and costly to do.

Yeah definitley get trubo sorted if it's playing up, but most remap places do a diagnostic check before hand anyway just to make sure car is running ok before performing the remap.

Ye car is runnin gd.if u look at my other post about my boost problem.I gt sole advice on wht to do.so a clean up of the manifolds should hopefully do the trick.then go about a remap prob from their.cheers for the info.

Chris - a common turbo change for the 110 is to put on a 150 PD turbo on and get it remapped to handle it.

Do you not have to replace quite a few other components to handle the 150 turbo and the extra power it gives?

You make it sound as easy as changing a tyre

Yeah I've been looking into this a lot recently as I am thinking about doing something similar in summer (if i have the money)

You need bigger injectors too, as well as all the piping to make the turbo fit. I looks like a big job but for the power you can get with it is good, especially if you get a good remap.

If I was putting a lot of power into my 110 then I'd definitely want uprated clutch aswell, and somehow get a 6th gear in there or sort out the ratios. So would probably end costing quite a bit.

I still think would probably be cheaper to just sell and get the cupra/fr tdi. Plus it looks nicer too ;)

Remember you'll need to mod your engine mount for the golf/leonpd150 on your car Sin.
