hi

what gains can i expect with a stage 1? also what MPG will i be getting? I currently have a clio 197 cup and im getting 24.1MPG at the moment

Not sure on mpg figures, but they should go up as you are increasing torque with the map.

Revo stage 1 should see (assuming you have a cupra) from 240bhp to 300bhp and 206lbs ft to 310nm torque

Of course, each engine is different. And lots of people are seeing 250/260 bhp as standard for a cupra. Which could mean (if your one of the lucky ones) a return of 310-315bhp

But its the torque that really matters, and stage 1 alone gives over 100lbs ft torque increase. So mpg should increase as long as your not always WOT ;)

As Shane said.

I average about 24mpg

Do you have a stage 1 on yours Adam?

I'm looking at buying one soon, currently drive a rs Clio 197 cup, the handling is out of this world but there's like zero torque lol, its got an awful flat spot caused by the ktr exhaust and can't justify getting it remapped at nearly £400 with a gain of about 6 bhp. I'm test driving a couple of leons tomorrow. My mate has a mk5 golf GTI stage2+ he let me drive it the other day but I wasn't overly impressed, you can tell straight away that your driving a heavy car! I'm just hoping the Cupra still has that fun factor

Ive got a full revo stage 2 plus k1 for sale if your interested? Night and day difference between a 280bhp golf gti.

Il have around a 10000 budget so it's a bit pricy for me! Love the car mate! I'd like the k1 but it's just new bumpers isn't it?

I have a Revo stage 1 remap.

I was delighted to see an IMPROVEMENT in MPG from average 26 to now 30 Mpg

I would say it seems to give this 4 mpg extra at whatever pace I drive compared to before...am well chuffed !

Go for it, as the engine remains crisp and torquey with nice power delivery and tractability. :)

Really so when your giving it some the car is 4mpg better than before the map even though fueling is increased on a remap.

Maybe when your just driving about its better but it certainly wont be when you giving it some.

Exactly, I was amazed it stayed around the same mpg after stage 1 with a 60 bhp or so increase.

Yeah I'm stage 1, don't know where your from but I live in Kent and if your from around here don't mind taking you for a spin so you can see what's it's like for yourself

The mpg increase will be based on driving style mainly. But otherfactors such as weather/temp/ other mods/ weight etc

The BHP means nothing it's all to do with torque. With more torque you don't have to to push as hard on the loud pedal to get to a the same speed as before. The BHP increase just means how ferociously it pins your into your seat lol

So some could see 10 mpg increase due to doin long distance on cruise control. Others may see a decline due to loving the extra ooomph that it brings

Sorry but I can only give you my own experience and with exactly the same driving style, whether driving normally or 'giving it some' I am seeing approx 4 Mpg better than before the Revo treatment with both types of driving. I did also fit a Carbonio CAI.

My mate was at AMD's this morning having his exhaust fitted on his Type R, said your car was looking nice! Get anything done?

Nothing special for me today, just some new uprated brembo blue sports pads as the oem fronts needed replacing.

Tell him I said thanks. Was he at AMD or next door with the jap cars rolling road day?

Thats why then. The carbonia intake is letting less air get to the engine and the air to fuel ratio gets adjusted accordingly. Ditch the carbonio and get a proper intake ;)

The mpg on my old car stayed the same from the time i got it to the time I got rid, in all states of tune. It chewed more on fast driving when tuned than it might have when it was getting blasted when standard though.

You never noticed your mpg go down in the winter quite noticeably with the intake?

In the winter cruising on the motorway sticking to 65mph I was struggling to get into the 30s mpg wise.
