Well i gone and done it ! Even after reading the horror storys on here. Just got home from picking up my Bocanegra !
2010, only 2K miles on the clock. even made sure its had the 24T8 update
No pictures because its dark and the car is dirty inside and out as i wouldnt let them wash it.

And Alex Ive specifically asked for the car to not be touched either as the in house valeters usually cause swirl marks and don't do a great job tbh. Obviously this isnt the case for all but I want my paintwork flawless as Im a fussy git

Ha brilliant! Love it, So true for both of them.

The dealer is going to get a beat down from me this weekend when i go for a test drive in an ex-demo. They may as well not cause a fuss and just give it to me for free mwahaha!

Oh right, swirl marks? Do you mean polish swirls or actuall fine scratches like you get when you have grit in a cloth? (eghhh makes me cringe!!)

Yeah you know in the sun when the see the fine scratches sort of like cob webs in round circles . Caused from poor wash methods... quality of mf clothes etc etc. If I have any I will crack out the rotary on them

That Porsche shows plenty of swirl marks! I will give the Cupra when it arrives the full treatment and stick a write up on here hopefully

Remember i am on detailing world.. so no chance any one would ever be able to touch my car ! My Leon i traded in tonight was unmarked and in as new condition even though it was 5 years old. it was cleaner and better looking than the new stock they had. I would rather live with a dirty car untill the weekend and do it correctly, Although i have been out with the 303 Aerospace and done some of the inside

If your buying new i would guess you wouldnt need it. The update is to help with starting when the car has been standing and is cold (along with other fixes too) Was important to me as while the car will be my daily driver it will be in storage for around 6 months each year.

is this a physical part or just an update to the ecu? im looking at second hand / ex demo but will be using it everyday so wouldnt this would be important for me

this is just an software update for the ecu, if its a 10 plate car like mine then i would hope that who ever you buy it from would have already done it. If its a 60 plate or newer i think they dont need it but i would like some one to confirm that ! I went out of my way to make sure that any updates the car would need have already been done. I've been looking at getting one for a long time

on a side note.. just done its first fill up. £52 for a full tank of supper unleaded compared to £95 for the leon. Computer showing 38.9mpg but will monitor that. Will also be looking at the air filter on the weekend to see if it has the protective cover over it i can remove.

Can't wait to see pics by the way, what are the plans? REVO I hope and milltek finally have their system out and pretty soon we will have the upgraded clutch pack...................

keeping the car OEM looking, low key and ultra clean
In no perticular order it will be milltek as i had one on my Mk3 Cupra, breaks, filter, Audio ( just called into B&Q on the way home to get some Torx bits to remove the headunit) Auto lights, armrest, led bulb upgrades, wind deflectors, LCR splitter and possibly a few other things.
I have a full list of parts, part numbers and prices to go at, i am well prepared
