how much power will my tired mk 2 make!

if the car doesnt make what i hope its going to make at AMD at the weekend im selling.

so if my car doesn't make 150BHP (minimum) its gone.

it has 138419miles on it. so shes done well!
always serviced by seat! (since ive owned it its been serviced every 6k)
it does have every chance tho!
new oil 800miles ago(castrol magnatec 10/40)
new plugs will be fitted about 2 miles before AMD.( NGK R)
K and N pannel
oil catch tank so no oil goes back thorugh intake.
port polished throttle body.
resonator box delete.
(and by sunday hopefully stage 3 air box (drilled with a bigg arse bit of pipe sticking out the front!)
running nothing but V power might even chuck some pro boost i have for MotoX
(if i can find it i have another ignition coil somewhere!)
it has 7mm leads also.


any other ways i can make quick power????

its amd's rollers,its bound to make its book amount regardless of the fact its a few years old etc...be interesting to get it done and then have another done on a different set of rollers

Hmm with the millage i recon 135 mine took 161 with and airbox exhaust system fully cleaned fuel system + more I mean with nos mine took 189bhp and max 140mph but least you speedo will hit 150 they really push to the max I might be attending with a mate to see the cars go thru

so you've spunked money on coilovers, shiney bits etc & if a 10/11 yr old engine doesn't do quoted stock it's going?

from memory i thought your car did 170 & spanked Leon & Ibiza 1.8T's?

Hmm this could be the case bit wait what happens if they ran it in reverse would It not open a worm hole and takes us back in time to when cars where made for a certain bhp standard and unless modded stayed at that ?

nope id did infact do 150 on the speedo ive never had a car taht hasnt gone right to the end of the speedo apart from the bmw wich went past it

but yeah i mean its been loved in the past its always gone to seat for services etc. so its been loved.

but i dunno :/ im just considering getting rid for an even older car :/

im just asking if anyone has had there mk2 rolled so i can see what i can expect!

mines an 8v and rollered 132 (at amd) book is 115 and she was running like a bag of spanners at the time due to manky TB.i've never been that convinced by the reading but daren't risk running her again although it seems 8v always make past book figures as the numbers were played down when they released the valver to make that look better.....

just checked the figures on wiki the 8vs come in at 85KW wich works out at 113.987
what mods has yours got?/had yours got!? and a gammy TB! there rollers must be a bit out surely?

My 8V also ran a lot higher than book 133 Bhp (albeit at a different set of rollers, but its the Lottery, isnt it)

So if you get crappy figures, watch out for 8valvers hunting you down in the near future

You'll be as nervous as an expectant father when they tether your car on the rollers... i couldnt look at mine, was just wiating for the *bang* but i was pleasantly suprised when the figures came in.. considering all it'd had done was the Mk3 Cupra exhaust and an oil change.
