Ooh. Just noticed... might want to go down an inch on the size, 17 is a bit too big...unless you can run low coilies and lower profile tyres :p mine's on 16" SuperT's, 195/45 profile tyres and standard suspension. Will make it faster to 60 than if you put 17's on it too... just a thought.

Pro Race 1.2's are insanely light... And also very strong... Hardly a "Halfords" wheel in my opinion... IIRC 17 x 7J are around 8kg a corner...

And a polished rim - Ignore that! Would look horrible!

it's not that i was categorising them in the negative as a Halfords rim, i was saying i have literally seen them on display for sale in Halfords :ban:

Just read your comment as a generic "Halfords rim" post!

I was just saying because they're in Halfords, doesnt make them a bad rim... Theres always a hidden gem within the polished lips and "diamond" cut generic rims at halfords!

it's a personal preference thing....i'd never buy a visual mod which is stocked by halfords purely for the fact that one day i could be sat at the lights and some 17 year old spotty chav clad in adidas classics and a baseball cap pulls up next to me in a saxo 1.1 with the exact same rims...call me aloof but it makes me feel sick

Understandable! But Pro Race 1.2's are great rims for what they are!

must admit thinking about it - not really deep enough to go shiny edge

with ya on the weight - Pro Race 2's I have on mine are insanely light
