Fault Codes on my LCR

Looking for some help here my engine management light
was on so i got it check out 3 codes came up as follows

Code 01: 17704 P1296
Malfuction in
Cooling system

Code 02: 17972 P1564 Throttle sporadic:
Valve control
part-j338:
insufficient
voltage during
basic setting

Code 03: 17579 P1171 Angle sporadic:
sender 2 for
throttle valve
drive-G188:
implausible
signal

Dose any one know what they are?
Any info will be grateful..

You can try google for the codes if you're stuck, here's the first one, look at the first heading and you'll see a guy fixed this with a coolant temp sensor, different car but still a vag. It'll give you something to look at in the mean time anyway.

From that lot I'd think about checking your coolant temp sensor, check inside the coolant tank, there are two prongs in there which are prone to getting dirty - clean with a stiff brush or scrape any crud off with a screwdriver. If that doesn't help then change the coolant temp sensor itself (guides on here if you search).

I'd reckon the battery might be a bit low on charge too based on the second code - if you have a multimeter or can borrow one then check the battery voltage. I'd just be tempted to clear the codes, go for a long drive and see if any reappear.

Does the car feel any different to normal? How long have you had the car? If this is the first time you've scanned it then there's no real way of knowing how long the codes have been there, could have been from a problem that was fixed ages ago.
