Shall I buy a Ibiza Cupra

I currently drive a 2010 Leon FR TDI CR candy White, black 18's, tech pack, comfort pack, xenons, alcantara seats.

I love the car but commute through London everyday doing 22 miles round trip. My FR is drinking a lot of juice in town and last night I went out in my mates Ibiza Cupra. I loved the acceleration when the supercharger kicked in.

I'm wondering whether to chop in the Leon and get an Ibiza Cupra instead.

The diesel is a good engine but tame and mines been chipped too.

How much does it cost to fill a 2010 Ibiza Cupra and is anyone getting around town?

Cost me around 50 vpower also do about 280 to 320 miles and fast and normal driving

It will be far worse on juice than the 2.0 Diesel round town.

I have just done pretty much exactly what you are thinking about, I had a mapped Leon FR TDi and i have just bought a Boca, the day to day running is more expensive but giving the price gap between petrol and diesel im not sure exactly how much as i have only had it for just over a week. My insurance went down by about £200 per year and the road tax is £30 cheaper also. I find the Boca a much better car for my needs and the sound it makes is very addictive.

my fr around town dose 33 mpg + dont think you will get that out of a ibiza cupra but more fun to drive

It costs me £72.00 to fill the boc from empty and if I drive nicely now I am getting pretty close to 30mpg town driving so in all it would probably work you out slightly less per year to own the cupra. then again, if you have a heavy foot most of the time be prepared to shell out for petrol. Road tax just been renewed at £125 for 12 months.

It costs me £72.00 to fill the boc from empty and if I drive nicely now I am getting pretty close to 30mpg town driving so in all it would probably work you out slightly less per year to own the cupra. then again, if you have a heavy foot most of the time be prepared to shell out for petrol. Road tax just been renewed at £125 for 12 months.

I would agree, with the novelty not yet worn off i am getting 23 mpg average!

My road tax is £125 for 12 months, i thought they'd be different?

I spend on average on the Boc £40 or just under depending on the week, the RS is costing about £50 on a bad week. More than likely car 2 will go in the next couple of months as we cannot justify two fast hatches and really need a people bus to save money on running costs.
Neighbours look at us both with eyes rolling and heads shaking in the morning as we both leave at the same time, lots of brrm tish as we go down the road, even worse is we follow each other every morning as far as my wifes turn off, its getting like battle of the egos.

I was thinking of the same swapping for a Boc but i don't think i can bring myself to get rid of my Leon, with it being how i want it (sideskirts, spoiler etc)

I got my brand new Leon FR in November, drove it for a month commuting then got a company vehicle. It's pretty much been stuck on 2700 miles for 3 months! I last filled it up a month ago and i have only done ~250 miles in it since, with half a tank left.

I wouldn't mind having a go of a Boc/Cupra but i think i'd want a fully spec'd up model (which aren't common 2nd hand) and can't bring myself to change from 0% finance.

They seem great little cars

How you finding the Boca? My biggest concern is the interior creature comforts. I have every possible extra on my FL Leon bar a pointless sunroof.

I had a go in my mates Ibiza Cupra last night and i was shocked at how fast it is. I bet they fly with a Revo map.

I love the look of my Leon but getting pissed off with manual (never thought id here myself say that) plus diesel as great as it is on long journeys just doesnt really make sense round town.

I can have one my Sat that they have in stock so kinda need to decide quickly

I absolutely love it! I only had the bluetooth on my Leon as an interior extra but i find the interior better in the Boca/Cupra (but i really hated the drab dash of the Leon). To be honest though I think that may be just a matter of opinion so you may want to take it our for a long test drive just to make sure its what you want.

The DSG is fantastic, it does take a bit of getting used to but when you, do its really very good.

I didnt buy new for three reasons, cost, the massive wait and I believe that the remap is slightly more difficult to get done on the MY11 cars. I may be wrong on that.

I went from a Focus ST2 with remap and extras, initially I thought wtf have I done, however the Boc I have has equal amounts of extras same as ST2 there are bits I added like silver door pulls and a decent handbrake cover

Mine is mapped with cosmetic extras

man, i have just had my stage 1 software... and my good extra 30 hp, or what ever it is. but its the torque i notice the dif... it realy is **** of a stick, it just keeps pulling in every gear.

Is 30MPG with the new setting on the dash? AC off?

I bought mine to be the economical car in traffic - which at the tail end of my commute is stop / start

I find it's really good in town, and my left leg is rested mpg wise... circa 37mpg averaging 37mph over a tank. Out on a run it's better still as long as you behave on the speed
