Gearbox Leak??

Hey people,

i was under the car last night and noticed a bit of engine oil dripping out of the bottom of the gearbox where it joins on to the engine (inbetween the metal gasket where the flywheel sits on), it definately wasent gear box oil, looked more like engine oil, i wiped it up and after 5 mins it started dripping again 1 drop every minute or so.

could anyone shed any light on this??

there is a crankshaft oil seal behind the flywheel . my guess would be it needs changed

Thanks for that mate, i got the car over to my mechanic last night and he said the same , gutted only got the car back on the road after 3 months.
